Have Fun With A Nitro RC Buggy

Posted by Andy C Andy C | Entertainment | Thursday 26 August 2010 7:26 pm

If you like racing and fixing up cars and you enjoy speed, then you might enjoy racing a nitro RC buggy. These cars aren’t toys that kids play with. They are more like big boys’ toys as they can be a little pricey and require building and fixing up just like real cars.

If this is you, you are probably also competitive and want your car to be faster than other cars. You might also take race car driving lessons so that you can become a better driver who can perhaps out drive another car similar to your simply because of your skills. With a nitro RC buggy or even an on-road car (nitro or electric for that matter), you will be able to explore all of the above inclinations. Racing and fixing up these hobby cars also takes practice and determination if you want to be good.

The good thing is, with RC cars, buggy or road cars, you can get the racing thrill, the sense of accomplishment of driving well and tweaking a car to run perfectly, all for a small fraction of the price of doing it in real cars. The only difference is that you are not inside the car. RC cars are really fun and can go very, very fast. If you think this is something you’d like to get into, check out http://nitrorcbuggy.org to join in on the discussions!

striderknight2000
Im not the biggest car guy, but I love racing and rember how much fun I had goin down to the track with buddies in highschool and watch them race. I have picked a car (a 75′ Monte Carlo, 350) and know were I am goin to race. Just don’t know exactly what I need to do. I have lost touch with my buddies that used to race, after I joined the military. So I am kinda clueless, so if some one could tell me were I should start. What should I do to the car, and any other tips.

Like I said Im not a guru, I can turn a wrench and know the basics thats really it. Just lookin to do this for fun, lookin to race in the stock street class, and maybe get into the modified later down the road.

Any help would be appreciated

Peugeot – the Affordable French Racing Monster?

Posted by Racerx | Other – Auto Racing,Performance,Peugeot | Thursday 5 August 2010 2:00 pm

Why Lease Peugeot Vehicles?

The French manufacturer Peugeot has long been on the radar for drivers due to their reputation for producing high quality, affordable, family-friendly vehicles. First founded in 1891 by Armand Peugeot under the name Societe des Automobiles Peugeot, Peugeot’s roots go way back to the 19th century.

The Peugeot family first started off in the coffee mill and bicycle manufacturing industry. Inspired by using steel rods to produce bicycles; the Peugeot family turned their hand to automobile manufacturing around the turn of the century. The first Peugeot vehicle (a three-wheeled steam powered car) was produced in 1889 but the 3-wheeled design was quickly abandoned in favour of 4-wheeled vehicles with petrol-fuelled engines.

Since its first foray into the world of automobile manufacture; Peugeot has gone from strength to strength. With an annual yearly revenue of around €55 billion (2008) it’s clear the new range of Peugeot models (106, 206, RCZ Coupe, 308 etc) are proving to be a big hit with drivers all around the world. In fact, Peugeot models are constantly topping the lease lists of major companies around the globe.

So, what is it that makes Peugeot vehicles such a popular lease choice?

What car region to choose for my project race car?

Posted by Lexus Fast | Volvo | Sunday 1 August 2010 7:23 pm

Jguy21
I am starting to save up some money for my next car that I want to turn into my project race car. I want to build a car that will be able to compete with the Japanese imports at the track, whether it be drag or circuit (I’m not planning on street racing). I’m getting tired of all these people with their Honda Civics thinking they are cool because their mismatching body kits makes them look all “fast and furious.” I am looking for a nice old cheap car that I can start working on from the start. As much as I love RX-7′s, GT-R’s, and the WRX, I am looking for either European or American. I have narrowed down my choices to the following models and companies:

Europeans:
-Saab (pre-GM takeover would be sweet)
-VW
-Audi (if I can find an old one)
-BMW (if I can find an old one)
-Volvo (is it even possible to tune one up?)

American:
-Chevy Monte Carlo SS
-Chevy Impala SS
-Chevy Camaro
-Dodge Avenger (maybe?)
-Ford Mustang (late 80′s-early 90′s model would be cool)
-Ford Focus Hatchback (reminds me of a Peugeot)

So which car or region should I go with? Which brands and models have a lot of aftermarket support?

Do you have any words to share!
